In keeping with the tradition of its predecessors, the current 105 is equipped with top technologies—such as the wireless cockpit—and first-class features from the state-of-the-art Dura Ace and Ultegra series, enabling riders to rediscover the road every single day.

With the Shimano 105 components' move to a 12-speed shifting system, the gear jumps of the cassette are also correspondingly smaller. The finely tuned, revised gradation of the CS-R7101 sprocket set not only ensures optimal acceleration in all situations, but also excellent efficiency, so that no pedaling energy is lost.

Even under maximum load, the CS-R7101-12 enables faster gear changes that feel so smooth that you hardly notice them. With a gear ratio of 11 to 34 teeth, neither sprints on flat terrain nor steep climbs pose a problem. In addition, the 12-speed cassette is also compatible with Shimano's previous 11-speed freehub bodies.
